Random Musings of An Adult Student

So, I just graduated with my Associates degree in Nutritional Sciences and after a very breif break here I am again. The next step is the Bachelors in Science. Uggggh, and I am sitting here typing this, my text book is staring at me, judging me. I am not being a very good student right now :-( Yes, this week we are studing the Neurologic System and all of it’s facinating functions. If you are wondering, this 8-weeks I am studying Pathophysiology. Those of you who are doing online studies knows how tedious this is…. I have the attention span of a squirrel when I am home. Yeah, sitting here at the table trying to read is very difficult. Has this ever happened to you, you are sitting studying and all of a sudden something catches your eye like say, a dust ball, and all of a sudden your new mission is to sweep? That is what happens to me. Here is another one, Tik Tok. Uhhh huh, yeah, the old Ticky Tocky. When you are trying to get something done, DO NOT, let me say that again DO NOT open the Tic Tok app because next thing you know 3-hours have passed with you swiping up watching the adorable dog videos (my favorite is Bunny the Sheppard/Doodle, omg she is so stinking smart). Anyway, don’t do it. I also have 3 dogs, and they get me off task too because they want to go out, or they want to eat, or they want to play, or I just want to give them scritches lol. Yes, online study is difficult for many, but for those of you who are like me, it is a challenge of sitting still and focus. Before you think it, no I do not have ADD or ADHD, but when I am home there are other things I would prefer to do. Sadly my work schedule and life schedule do not allow me to take standard sitting in the class studies. So chime in and tell me, what are you studying and what was the best thing that happened to you today?

I’m a student who is here to share my radom musings of this journey, a neurosurgery medical assistant, and a mother of 3 fur babies, Dexter, TJ, and Lola
